Things Ive learnt

In the latest issue of Empire, they have included a double sided movie trivia poster, linking movies together etc.

So here's what I learnt

- Kevin Smith and his team paid for Clerks on their Credit Cards. The total film cost was $25 000.
- Smith also originally shot an alternate ending to Clerks, based on the ending of Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing.
- Francis Ford Coppolla hired his friend George Lucas to be the Second Unit Director on The Godfather.
- Steven Soderbergh's (Ocean's Eleven) Sex, Lies, and Videotape was the first film Empire gave five stars.
- While playing a screenwriter in the Coen brother's Barton Fink, John Turturro was actually writing (in the scenes where he was shown typing) his own screenplay which later became 2005's Romance and Cigaretes.

Fascinating huh.
